Pecoff painting
This past weekend Mike and I went to Little Italy to grab a bite to eat. We followed our dinner at Vincenzo's with two scoops of gelato from Cafe Zucchero's. So obviously, we had to walk it off! We decided to look inside a gallery right up the street. Mike and I have been searching and searching for a piece that could hang over our over-sized couch in the living room. It's been 2 years since we moved in and still nothing. Anyway, this gallery was so fantastic! The artist is a native San Diegan and has traveled all over to paint. As we were looking through one of the books, we found it! A painting of our favorite spot in Italy (Vernazza, Cinque Terre). Not only was I emotionally attached to the piece, but I loved that it was sooo vibrant, colorful, playful, and happy! Our place is kind of contemporary, and I knew that it would brighten up the place.
Grant Pecoff, the artist, and his wife (Layne) were so friendly and warm, we could have sat a talked to them for days. If you're ever in the area, you must check out their gallery. I'm posting a sneak peek of the painting. I'll update once we hang it =)
